Scott Bonham is a founding partner of GGV Capital – a Venture Capital firm with more than $2 billion under management. Scott has been instrumental in helping the firm’s portfolio companies navigate technology and marketing hurdles in China and the U.S. for more than a decade. Prior to co-founding GGV, Scott was a vice president at Capital Group Companies where he invested in technology companies across 10 mutual funds. Scott also spent four years at Silicon Graphics in various marketing roles and started his career as a systems engineer and maintenance foreman at a General Motors assembly plant in Oshawa, Ontario. He earned a B.Sc. in E.E. (Dean’s List) from Queen’s University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Outside of GGV, Scott has been active in promoting innovation and business in Canada through his work as the co-chair of the C100, board director for Magna International, and founder of The Fueling Station: a 100,000 sq ft collaborative workspace for entrepreneurs in Toronto’s Liberty Village.
