David Zug joined HarbourVest in 2005 and focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and executing growth equity, buyout, and mezzanine transactions. David recently spearheaded the expansion the firm’s international operations to Canada and launching of the Toronto office. He currently serves as a board member for Benefitmall, Healthgrades, and Q4 Inc. as well as a board observer for RCN and Videology. David has led several other direct investments, including Confie Seguros, Lightower Fiber Networks, Saba Software, Safenet (acquired by Gemalto), TeamViewer, Videology, Wave Accounting, and Zayo (NYSE:ZAYO). David’s prior experience includes four years at The Monitor Group, the international strategy consulting firm, where he focused on growth strategies for corporate clients and private equity investors. David received his BA (cum laude) from Dartmouth College and his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. David serves as a Trustee of Thompson Island Outward Bound in Boston.
